Light the Night for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Pageantry brings out the best in women! We do so much to help others and tonight was no exception. We supported the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Kick Off at the Philadelphia Phillies baseball game. Alison - America's Miss Teen 2010 and Beth - Mrs. Philadelphia International and I helped sell raffle tickets and raised nearly $2,000.00. We met survivors, Moms who have lost their children to cancer and many, many people who braved the threat of rain simply because they cared...just like us!

Congratulations to Lora and Katie for a successful event. Also, many thanks for having our names announced on National television! That was really nice of you...we were there because we cared and nothing else.

That said, please support the walk on October 2 at Forrestal Village in Princeton, NJ. Join the America's Queens page, make a donation to join the walk and join the America's Queens Team at 6 p.m. under the tent. And if you're in a store and see a blue balloon, please donate. Additional information will be posted, so be sure to check back.
