A Wonderful First Week As America's Mrs. 2010!

One of the best aspects of this past week was logging on to the America's Miss website and seeing the continual updates. I have never seen a website updated so quickly and professionally. Now I know how crowning went because I could not remember anything beyond seeing the smile on my husband and son's faces. Check it out on the America's Miss website at http://www.americasmiss.org/main.htm. Crowning on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nrl_98VnWJY. July 4th was so much fun as an invited guest to their annual Bel Air, Maryland parade. Thousands were lined up to watch a parade which must have lasted for 2+ hours. The weather was beautiful and the people of Bel Air were so gracious and welcoming. Best of all, I had the pleasure of seeing my Executive Director, Ms. Sharon, who took care of everything including the beautiful bio read at the grandstand. WONDERFUL JULY 4TH!!

Wonderful meeting Eric who drove the most beautiful Corvette I've ever had the pleasure of riding in/on!! Thanks Eric!

I spent Saturday with my good friends celebrating the holiday with many congratulatory wishes for becoming America's Mrs. last week. The press release was in our local paper on Friday, so everyone knew. What a great feeling!!! I cannot believe my girlfriend Di actually let me crown her Queen for the Moment!! :)

My very first appearance as America's Mrs. 2010 was on Friday spent with my wonderful sister, Councilwoman Johnson, in East Orange at the annual fireworks display. There must have been 7,000 people in attendance and we had a fabulous time! My wonderful husband and son joined me as well as my nieces from Atlanta. What a great day!!! Thank you Dani for my beautiful red top!!! Photos are on the East Orange, NJ Website: http://cityonthemove.com/eofireworks2010/photos/
