Evelyn McCleod, of East Windsor, New Jersey was recently selected America’s Mrs. New Jersey 2010. She will join state delegates from across the United States in Maryland to compete for the title of America’s Mrs. 2010. The National Pageant will be held June 26, 2010 at the Amoss Theater on the campus of Harford Community College in Bel Air, Maryland.

With her title, Evelyn will represent New Jersey during her year of reign, making appearances throughout the state. In addition to competing for the national title, Evelyn will also have the opportunity to win community service, photogenic and Mrs. Congeniality Awards. The winner will receive a national appearance contract, thousands of dollars in cash and prizes, be recognized in national advertising and become a national spokesperson for America’s Miss Pageants.

Since 2003 America’s Miss Pageants has recognized and encouraged young women to strive for higher education and to serve as positive role models in their communities. The reigning America’s Miss 2009, Caroline Kuhlman and America’s Miss Teen 2009, Brittany Sullivan are promoting the Pageant’s national charity, The Starlight Children’s Foundation. The pageant is open to teens 13-18, young women ages 19-26 years of age, and this year for the first time ever, married women ages 21-60 years of age. America’s Miss, America’s Miss Teen and America’s Mrs. 2010 will be crowned on June 26, 2010.
